ICT as a Constructive tool

 ICT as a constructive tool.

ICT as a constructive tool refers to any technology that helps students create, build, and actively construct new knowledge by connecting their prior knowledge rather than just listening or receiving information from Teachers. students use ICT as a constructive tool to create, explore, and reflect, which help them to learn better through activities such as making presentations, writing reports, designing concept maps, creating videos.  This approach represents a shift from traditional passive learning, where students primarily receive information, to an active learner- centered learning, where students take responsibility for their own learning. constructive tools are used to manipulate information, build their own knowledge, and express their own ideas or understanding in creative ways. for example, using Desktop publishing program, PowerPoint, mind- mapping, Camtasia, google classroom, and spread sheet to express and share knowledge in creative ways.

From my own understanding, ICT as a constructive tool are technologies that help students to turn into active learners who build their own knowledge through experience and exploration and these tools helps them to connect new knowledge with their prior knowledge which makes learning more meaningful and long- term. i believe constructive tools make learning more active and engaging because they encourage students to think, design and reflect. for example, using Camtasia to create videos, PowerPoint to make presentation, and mind maps helps students to understand topic better.  these activities make learning more meaningful because students are constructing new knowledge by doing and exploring not just listening.

how do we integrate constructive tools in the classroom.

As a teacher to effectively integrate constructive tools, i will design activities that requires students to go beyond consumption and engage in high- level intellectual work. i will integrate Concept map in classroom to help students to make lesson more interesting, connect, and understand ideas more clearly. example for teaching different topics like plants, animals, body parts and stories to make it easy to understand. it can turn abstract ideas into clear, connected visuals, which can support students who have difficulty with reading, memory, or processing information.

For example, i can create a simple and colorful concept map to explain a topic like "body". This helps students with learning or language difficulties understand the main ideas without too much text.
